Well it's been more than 3 years since I've posted on here. This past August found me in Portland OR for my not-so-little boy's graduation from Portland State.
I'm sooooooo proud of him!

I've decided to try using blogger again, both to keep up with family and as a source of sewing & quilting ideas. Pink Penguin, Crazy Mom Quilts and The Reluctant Quilter are so far my favorite quilt blogs. Lots of great ideas and tutorials there. And of course it's that Christmas sewing time of year so I'll try later to post some of the things I'm working on too. Maybe this blog will even inspire me to complete a few of the UFOs taking up much needed space in my little sewing room!

As you may be able to tell by the timing of this post, I'm something of a night owl. 16+ years of 12 hour night shifts will do that to a person. . . But then again my friends can tell you that I've never been anywhere near what someone would call "normal."

It's almost time for the hubby to rise and shine so I'll be back at the sewing machine again soon. . . .
