I've done a lot of browsing but not much posting so I thought I'd share a few pictures. You can see that orderly sewing room can become quite a disaster at times. I am so short on space in here that things usually spill over onto each other and into other rooms! In an attempt to make the work area more efficient, I rotated the main desk and moved the serger to a little TV table under the peg board. This way it frees up the desk surface for sewing and my serger and large ironing board is reachable just by swinging around in my chair. The peg board is still my favorite feature in the room.
I can store stacks of patterns on a single peg and they're so easy to search through. Rulers are just an arm's reach away and a small hanging basket keeps scissors close and stores rotary cutters. My next organizational task is finding a better way to store fat quarters. The plastic cart with wheels that I'm using now is in danger of collapsing from the weight but if I stick to my resolution to NOT buy more fabric maybe I can make room for them on the main shelves I use for yardage :0)
