I should be organizing and packing for next week, not sitting here playing on the internet. I'm working all weekend and won't be back home until Monday evening. That only leaves Tuesday to pack and load up the car before heading south Wednesday morning with my MIL. This will be my second year attending the Myrtle Beach Quilt Party and I'm trying something new for both classes. Free motion quilting and paper piecing! I'm really excited about the free motion quilting because my dear MIL could easily teach me anything I ever wanted to know about paper piecing. Maybe I will be confident enough after the classes to attempt quilting last year's class project, since twelve months later it's still a UFO. I have no idea where or when the orange influence came from but I find myself using it everywhere these days. When finished, this little quilt will be used on a daybed in the spare room, pulling the burnt orange from the living room walls (yes all 4 walls!) into yet another space. Maybe it's a Freudian way of eliminating all memories of the Pepto-Pink carpet that covered the floors in this house when we first purchased it.
